Word Alive Church International

Privacy Policy

Effective: January 1, 2019
Updated: October 8, 2026

Word Alive Church International (“WACI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of people who visit thewordisalive.church and contact our ministry. This Privacy Policy explains information collected through this website, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

We receive information you choose to share through our contact, newsletter, prayer, spiritual guidance, visitor, covenant partner, and ministry request forms or by contacting us directly. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing or pickup address, and the contents of your message.

Transportation requests collect your name, pickup address, phone number, requested date, and service. Requests are sent to Transportation@thewordisalive.church so the transportation team can follow up and discuss arrangements. Please provide only information needed to handle your request. Do not send payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or detailed medical information through ordinary website forms.

Website and device information

Our website and its service providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring pages, and the date and time of your visit. Cookies and similar technologies may support site functions, security, preferences, and analytics. The site includes Google Analytics code; the information a provider receives depends on its settings and whether the service is active.

Content and services supplied by other providers, such as fonts, maps, video players, social media, or online giving, may receive information when you use them or when their content loads. Their own privacy policies govern their handling of that information.

How information is used

Information may be used to respond to your questions, communicate about church activities, send updates you request, coordinate ministry and transportation requests, maintain church relationships, operate and improve the website, prevent misuse, and meet applicable administrative or legal obligations.

Prayer and spiritual guidance messages can contain personal information. Share only what you are comfortable providing to the ministry. An ordinary website submission does not establish a legally privileged or professional counseling relationship.

When information is shared

Information submitted to the church may be available to church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers involved in responding to your request. Service providers supporting hosting, email, communications, analytics, security, or other website functions may process information in connection with those services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect people, the church, or the website.

Online giving links take you to a third-party giving service. Payment information you enter there is handled under that provider’s terms and privacy policy. Social media and other external websites operate under their own policies.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit a form, although this may limit our ability to respond or arrange a ministry service. You can ask us to update or remove information you have provided, or ask to stop receiving optional communications, using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request and may retain information needed for legal, administrative, or security purposes.

Use an unsubscribe option in a newsletter where available, or contact the church to request removal. Browser settings can help you manage or block cookies; blocking some cookies may affect site features. Google provides information about its analytics controls at Google Analytics Opt-out.

Retention and security

Information may be kept while needed to respond to requests, coordinate ministry, maintain appropriate records, and address applicable obligations. Retention can vary by record and service provider. Internet transmissions and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact the church by phone when you need to discuss sensitive information.

Children and family requests

This website provides general information about the church. Parents or guardians should submit ministry or transportation requests on behalf of children and supervise information shared online. If you believe a child has submitted personal information that should be removed, contact us so we can review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, ministry activities, or applicable requirements. The updated date above identifies the latest published revision. Please review this page periodically.
